Oppo Reno 15 Series Launch Date Officially Teased; Design Leaks Ahead of Debut

Oppo Reno 15 series will debut next week, on Monday. The Chinese launch date was just announced by the company through a teaser. The offical specs are far and few. Oppo is obviously trying to maintain intrigue for the series. But we already know at least three members are coming. A Geekbench listing provided details for the Reno 15 Pro. Here’s what to expect.

Oppo added the teaser on its Weibo account a few hours ago. The video confirmed November 10 to be the exact date for the Reno 15 debut. It’s just a 7-second clip, so there wasn’t much in the way of software details or specs. We had to look elsewhere.

Lucky for us, Geekbench has already tested one of the Reno 15 devices and exposed key information. A Dimensity 8450 chip was used by the test device with model number Oppo PLV110. Since they didn’t confirm the phone’s name, we have two theories on how the launch might play out.

The Reno family has this pattern in which the higher-end chip used by the Pro sibling trickles down to the non-Pro version in the next generation. Reno 13 Pro had the Dimensity 8350 SoC, and later, we found the same chip on the Reno 14. Meanwhile, they updated the Reno 14 Pro to Dimensity 8450.

If they stick to the old tricks, one can only assume that Geekbench has tested the Oppo's new Reno model with Dimensity 8450. Of course, there’s also a second possibility that the Reno 15 Pro is reusing the same old chip once again, since MediaTek hasn’t officially released Dimensity 8500 yet.

Digital Chat Station also has some secrets to spill about the basic Reno 15. The series’ camera design looks like an iPhone 16 Pro more than ever. Even the metal sides and a corner radius match the Apple devices perfectly. The preview image was shared by DCS, not by Oppo.

The report also said the Reno 15 series will use a cold-carving process for the rear camera design and could use a 200MP main sensor. Let’s wait and watch how accurate DCS’s predictions are. The launch is happening on Monday, so stay tuned for full coverage.
