Just yesterday, the One UI 9 beta program was opened to six new devices. They added the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 to the testing. And the whole Galaxy S25 lineup unlocked One UI 9 beta in one fell swoop. There has been an update. A new report told us that the Galaxy S24 series is also eligible for One UI 9 beta in select regions.
Apparently, the beta is already unlocked for the US, India, and South Korean versions of the Samsung Galaxy S24. It’s the same case for all three models, by the way. The firmware keys end in ZZHL/EZHK/EZHL characters for each sibling. We also know the size of the update.
One UI 9 beta is technically a full Android version above the current One UI 8.5, so it’s a big update. You’ll be migrating to Android 17, and it’s also irreversible. Galaxy S24 FE is part of the lineup, but it doesn’t get One UI 9 beta, for now at least. Owners of that device must wait longer. Of course, getting to One UI 9 beta is not as easy as downloading a simple monthly update on your Galaxy device. You must meet their criteria.
Anyone who wants to test One UI 9 on the Galaxy S24 must sign in to the Samsung Members app or join the app by signing up. That’s usually enough to get you through the door, but there are still some regional hoops. Samsung only unlocks beta for certain countries.
In the Galaxy S24’s case, this new beta is only being unlocked in one of the Asian countries. South Korea and the US are also in the same boat. Don’t worry, the beta period will soon lead to a stable One UI 9 update on the Galaxy S24 series once they’ve done sufficient testing. It’s only a matter of time.
