The list is getting longer as more devices join the One UI 8.5 beta rollout. Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is also being tested with the new firmware before the stable update. Today, they’ve announced the third One UI 8.5 beta on the Galaxy S24 FE, and this is what we found.

Android 16 QPR2 provides the base for the One UI 8.5 beta. This update can only be accessed by beta testers. South Korea is the only region so far where the updates have been released for testing. There are surely a few more regions where the update will be expanded to later.

The Korea-specific S24 FE model had the firmware version S721NKSUBZZDP. The changelog of this third beta was found by Terun Vats, who may have sourced the information from a tester in Korea. We had to translate a few details, but this is the gist of what was reported.

The beta One UI 8.5 on many Galaxy S models has had the call screen bug where the incoming call appears too slowly, or there’s just a black screen in some events. That was also an issue with the Samsung new FE mobile with the test build. But they’ve fixed it.

The proximity sensor also gave an error when picking up calls sometimes. And green lines appeared on screen while recording at 4K HDR using third-party apps. Both those issues were sorted in the third beta for the Galaxy S24 FE. There was more info in the changelog.

The Bluetooth bug that caused the app to crash was also removed. And they fixed the malfunctioning multitouch while using the Magnification accessibility tool. These problems were fairly common in the One UI 8.5 beta for several Galaxy S phones. This is certainly not the last beta to drop on the Galaxy S24 FE. There’s still plenty of testing to be done. Keep watching the news for updates.
