Oppo F17 Pro Officially Teased; The Sleekest Oppo Phone of 2020 Confirmed to be Launching Soon in Pakistan

Oppo's "sleekest phone of 2020", the Oppo F17 Pro, is coming to Pakistan soon. The smartphone-maker made the announcement on its social media and published the official listing for the phone on its website yesterday, but hasn’t shared a release date. Let’s recount what this design-first Oppo has to offer.

We start with the footprint and dimensions. At 164g and 7.48mm, Oppo F17 Pro is the lightest and slimmest F-series model yet. It has beveled, smooth edges (which Oppo calls its ‘pebble’ design) for an ergonomic grip.

The 6.43” display stretches edge to edge with a lightweight chin and minimal bezels. You’re looking at a Super AMOLED panel that produces a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio and embeds an in-display fingerprint scanner under it. Oppo has carved a wide hole-punch into its corner to house the dual selfie camera.

It comes in two editions: Magic Blue and Matte Black. Featuring a shiny finish on a duotone gradient that blends perfectly into the boxy camera plate, the F17 Pro has a very geometric aesthetic. Four cameras are arranged in a matrix layout, next to a lengthened LED flash. It’s clean, minimalistic, and modern at a Flagship Oppo mobile price point.

With a total of six cameras on board, the Oppo F17 Pro promises best-in-tier portrait photography. The AI-powered image processing features a set of dedicated portrait modes, including AI Super Night Portrait, AI Color Portrait, AI Night Flare Portrait, AI Beautification, and more. Both the rear and front cameras have electronic image stabilization, not to mention hardware-enabled bokeh effects.

Expect industry-leading battery performance out of its 30W VOOC Flash Charging that can fully charge your Oppo F17 Pro in only 53 minutes. The battery capacity itself is an underwhelming 4,000 mAh — on account of the slim profile the handset has.

It’s powered by present-gen MediaTek Helio P95 chipset, 8GB of memory, and 128GB of storage. And augmented with MediaTek’s HyperEngine designed for smoother, more responsive gameplay. Oppo’s latest ColorOS 7.2 greets you out of the box. WhatMobile expects the F17 pro to start from Rs. 49,999.
