Oppo A98 5G Specifications Leaked Entirely With Renders; Expect SD 695 SoC & 5000mAh Cell

The Oppo A98 5G seems to be on the horizon. The company has been hard at work developing a mid-range smartphone coded CPH2529. We’ve spotted the device on various certification sites, including CQC in China, TKDN in Indonesia, and NBTC in Thailand. Numerous hints online confirm the phone’s moniker and its imminent launch soon.


In the latest break, the model CPH2529 AKA Oppo A98 5G, has surfaced again in a publication by Appuals. They’ve leaked the phone’s entire hardware manifest, with some renders showcasing its design. Here’s a debrief on the phone’s expected features and specifications.

As entailed by the report: Oppo A98 5G carries a 6.7-inch LTPS LCD at FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), with an impressive 20:9 aspect ratio, 391ppi screen width, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Additionally, the phone has an extra layer of Panda Glass protecting the screen.


Mounted at its core will be a Snapdragon 695 chip graced with up to 8 Gigs of LPDDR4x RAM and 256 Gigs of expandable internal storage. To energize the system, a 5000mAh battery pack resides under the shell of the new 5G Oppo mobile, backed by a 67W USB-Type C charging kit.


Towards the back, Oppo A98 5G boasts a triple camera setup: a 64-megapixel primary, a 2-megapixel depth mapper, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. In a punch hole at the top center of the screen lies a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. 

In essentials, the newcomer will bear Dual-SIM support, 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, Android 13 OS x Color OS 13, and a side-facing biometric impression scanner. With a chassis measuring 165.6 x 76.1 x 8.2mm, Oppo A98 5G will flex a total weight of 192 grams.
