OPPO A98 5G Indexed on TDRA Database; Global Launch Inches Closer

As hinted by multiple certification authorities, the Chinese manufacturer will soon introduce OPPO A98 5G. The gossip mill indicates it should rank in the company's upper-mid-range catalog, and it's sure to dazzle and delight.


The much-anticipated Oppo A98 5G has recently surfaced on numerous certification websites. The latest sighting on the TDRA website adds to the growing excitement among tech enthusiasts. Let's dive into the details and see what we can expect from Oppo's latest offering. 

As with earlier sightings on NBTC and CQC, the newcomer A98 5G popped up on TDRA indexed as the CPH2529 model. The document has several details about the phone, but none are related to its specifications. Still, it confirms our suspicion about an imminent and nearing Global launch.


From the NBTC and CQC, we discovered that the Oppo 5G new model has 67W charging support. Apart from the adapter details, nothing interesting came from their documents. A98's TENAA listing, on the other hand, revealed quite a lot.


As per the re, Oppo A98 has a 2.2GHz core, likely the 5G-enabled Dimensity SoC. Following that is a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, clocked at a high refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. The biometric ID will lie under the screen giving users convenient access to their phone lock.


While the exact model of the chipset remains a mystery, we know it will team up with 12GB of physical RAM and up to 512Gigs of storage. Energizing the system will be a dense 4,690mAh capacity battery endowing the phone with maximum endurance and screen on time. 

In the province of photography, Oppo A98 will bear a 108MP alpha shooter assisted by a 2MP depth mapper. Towards the front, a 16MP selfie shooter will reside under the screen's punch hole.
