Indications point towards an imminent worldwide launch of the Oppo A98, and the device's recent appearance on the Geekbench database unequivocally supports this notion. Perusing the lens of this benchmark performance test, some fascinating details about the device have come to light. Let's have a look.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Oppo A98 global edition garners a single-core score of 885 and a multi-core score of 2034 points, an impressive feat for a mid-range device. At its core is a Snapdragon 695 processor that yields 6nm fabrication, an Adreno 619 GPU, and a max clock speed of 2.2GHz.

In addition, the device confirms on Geekbench an 8GB of RAM and a pre-installed Android 13 operating system right out of the factory. The phone is likely to sport other memory variants though nothing evident has surfaced as of yet.

The rumor mill believes Oppo A98 has the following specifications. Allegedly, the latest flagship Oppo mobile sports an expansive 6.7-inch display featuring an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20:9, a pixel density of 391ppi, and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the device is expected to offer ample internal storage topping out at 256GB; meanwhile, a robust 5000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging promises to keep the device powered up for extended periods.

The phone will likely bag a sharp 32MP front-facing shooter nested within a punch-hole cutout. On the rear side, it might feature a powerful 64MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, and sharing in its glory will be two additional sensors; a 2MP depth and a 2MP macro.

If you recall, these specifications are identical to those of the China-only device, Oppo A1 5G. The Oppo A98 might be a rebranded version of the A1, taken to expand its reach into the global markets.
