Oppo A98's journey through the research and development phase has captured the spotlight of consumer market media in recent weeks. Despite the phone's widely reported certifications and leaked specifications, it wasn't until recently that its high-quality, official-looking renders came to light.

Sudhanshu Ambhore, the industry's renowned leak star, recently took to Twitter to spill A98's high-quality, almost official-looking renders. The mighty Oppo phone carries a flat punch-hole design screen with minimal bezels and a vertical pill-shaped camera on the back.

Colorways supported by the phone include Dreamy Blue and Cool Black, with a mostly frosted texture, apart from the area under the triple-lens camera setup. In a publication by Appuals, its entire spec sheet got leaked, and we discovered that it has three imaging sensors: a 64-megapixel primary, a 2-megapixel depth mapper, and a 2-megapixel macro.

As per the publication, the new Oppo 5G mobile boasts a high-end 6.7-inch LTPS LCD with FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), an impressive 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside the punch hole, a sharp 32MP selfie shooter rests layered with Panda Glass screen protection.

At the Oppo A98's core lies a Snapdragon 695 engine supporting a memory hub with 8 Gigs of LPDDR4x RAM and 256 Gigs of expandable internal storage. The system draws power from a 5000mAh battery pack backed by a 67W USB-Type C charging kit.

While its launch date, pricing details, and availability are still under wraps, we know that Oppo A98 has 5G connectivity, Dual-carrier support, and Android 13 featured right out of the box. All these specs combined make for a perfect middle-league smartphone candidate. We'll see how it fares against other Android phones once its pricing details are out — so stay tuned.
