OPPO A77s Hits Another Grand Exposé; Full Feature-set Leaked with Renders

It's only been a month since the initial debut of OPPO A76's successor, the A77, and the brand is already planning to drop its slightly re-engineered spin-off, "A77s." And premised on last week's report, the on-coming will probably hit the spotlight either by the end of September or the first week of October.

A few moments ago, Rumor-mill uncovered a marketing banner that spilled OPPO A77s' design and an exhaustive feature sheet. The phone is identical to its counterpart A77 in every possible way, except for a better processor and RAM/ROM configuration. Let's take a look.

By default, A77s has a bumped-up RAM to 8GB with 5 GB of virtual RAM. The phone allegedly boasts a Snapdragon 680 chipset (a substantial improvement over the former's Helio G35). In addition to the 128GB storage space, it supports MicroSD for extra room.

Right out of the gate, it boots up to an Android 12-based ColorOS skin. The latest OPPO 4G mobile packs a 5000mAh battery recharging via SuperVOOC 33-Watt power brick. Oppo A77s also have stereo speakers, a 3.5mm jack at the bottom, DUAL SIM support, UFS 2.2 storage, and IP54 dust and water resistance. Its frame accommodates a side-mounted fingerprint reader for security.

For photography, it features a dual camera setup housing a 50MP primary and 2MP depth mapping sensor. The drop notch on the front has an 8MP selfie shooter living inside, capable of HDR shots and night selfies.

The banner shows a 6.56" IPS HD+ screen on Oppo's upcoming budget addition. With a 90Hz refresh rate, it sports a 100% DCI-P3 score and a sleek 7.9mm frame clocking in at 187grams. A77s will ship in Sky Blue and Starry black colorways. Incidentally, since these specifications haven't been verified yet by the authorities, please take them with a hint of sarcasm.
