Samsung’s cooking up a new Fan-edition phone for the masses, and if the rumor mill is to be believed, this S24 FE sequel is going to look a lot different than we thought. Seeing multiple leaks and reports pile up on the Galaxy S25 FE, we can’t help but assume the device exists and should launch by the end of 2025.
From the grapevine, a fresh leak gives us insights into the Galaxy S25 FE design. The key changes this year are going to be a thinner build and almost the same appearance as a Galaxy S25 Edge. It won’t be nearly as sleek as the Edge, but it does break away from the mundane look the Fan-edition phones have maintained for years at this point.
Not only is this phone going under a major redesign, but the company also plans to trim its thickness down by almost 0.6mm. Only one generation old, the Galaxy S24 FE has a thickness of 8mm, which makes it hard to grip for longer periods. The S25 FE fixes that with a much thinner profile.
Rumors foreshadow a 7.4mm body for the Samsung FE new model, almost as thin as the vanilla Galaxy S25 with a 7.2mm design. The original S25 didn’t have to sacrifice its battery to score a slim look, and neither will the Galaxy S25 FE. The leak source also provided the dimensions of the new phone, and we have another exciting change there.
This newcomer allegedly measures 161.4mm tall and 76.6mm wide, which is shorter and narrower than the S24 FE build at 162mm and 77.3mm. Samsung might have shrunk the bezels to shave off a few millimeters, but the changes won’t be noticeable unless they have the older phone right next to the S25 FE.
We have already collected some preliminary details about this phone from the leaks. The screen on top of this phone is a 6.7” AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1080p resolution. The Galaxy S25 FE will have the fingerprint reader right on top of its AMOLED display, as usual.
Samsung might keep the 4700mAh battery inside the S25 FE, but an upgrade to a 5000mAh cell is also a possibility. The selfie camera could get an upgrade from 10MP to 12MP. We await more leaks to uncover the rest of Galaxy S25 FE’s details, so stay tuned for further updates.
