Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is also a part of Samsung’s One UI 8.5 beta program. In fact, the handset just got the 3rd beta release of this firmware, which now has a few more Google AI features and bug fixes. We’ve kept tabs on these beta updates for a while, and it appears the stable One UI 8.5 is close.
Samsung members who are actually part of the beta testing will need to download a 600MB package to grab the 3rd beta on their Galaxy S25 FE. This is only for the Indian market and South Korea. The majority of the global market still has no signs of this update.
The new firmware version for the One UI 8.5 beta is S731BXXU6ZZDD. The S25 FE (Korean) was given the firmware S731NKSU6ZZDD in the changelog. While we are on the subject, the changelog or the update description has plenty to share about the 3rd beta. The incoming call screen appearing blank or popping up with a delay has been fixed. Proximity sensor not working or throwing an error during calls was also patched here. 4K HDR recording on a third-party app showed green lines. That bug is also paid attention to.
The 2nd beta of One UI 8.5 also had a Bluetooth bug causing crashes on the Galaxy S25 FE. And multitouch didn’t work properly with magnification accessibility. The third beta fixed both of those issues. Then we have a few Google AI features on the OTA package.
Apparently, the new One UI 8.5 beta also carries Call Screening. There’s a full Creative Studio and an improved Audio Eraser here. And the old Photo Assist grabbed a new version. You should be familiar with those changes even if you are not a beta tester. The stable update, when the time comes, will have all these updates and more.
