Vivo V60 Clears Yet Another Regulatory Hurdle Before Official Launch

Vivo is picking up the pace with V60’s global certifications, right after the company officially teased this phone in Indonesia. The phone will break cover in a few days, and in these final moments, it has been formally certified by the NBTC authority. That clears the Vivo V60 for a launch in Thailand.

The newcomer has the model number “V2511,” as revealed by NBTC’s database. Other certifiers, like the TDRA and SIRIM, addressed this phone as the Vivo V60. Before NBTC listed this device on its website, several regulators in other nations had already given this phone a green light.

We can already name a few countries where its launch is inevitable. Vivo V60 is coming to Europe since it passed the TUV certification. Even the TDRA in the UAE, SIRIM in Malaysia, IMDA in Singapore, and TKDN in Indonesia have all cleared the Vivo V60 for an official debut.

NBTC confirms that the phone has 5G (NR) bands. Geekbench says that the Vivo latest V model has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, and TUV exposed its 90W fast charging. By all accounts, this device seems to be a rebranded Vivo S30, which, by the way, is already available in China.

Vivo V60’s design was officially teased by the company just a few days ago. We learned that the phone has a beveled look to it, instead of a flat profile featured on the Vivo S30. That semi-curved design makes the phone thinner, and the rounded edges appear more ergonomic.

Its display is supposed to be a quad-curve OLED panel with possibly a 1.5K resolution. The phone itself has been touted with Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue, and Mist Gray colors. The software situation is a bit underwhelming as it comes with Android 15 out of the box. In the current timeline, an Android 16 would’ve been more preferable.

The introduction banner at the front and center of Vivo V60’s dedicated microsite has a 6500mAh battery mentioned on it. This newcomer has ZEISS optics and color science, so you can expect outstanding image quality from its cameras. There are more teasers to come as we inch closer to launch. Stay tuned for further updates.
