After the official debut of Vivo V60 Lite 5G in Taiwan, we knew its 4G variant was most likely around the corner. Today, the company announced the Vivo V60 Lite 4G in a European country with the same battery and charging speed as the original, albeit with a weaker Snapdragon 685 SoC.

The specs are simply midrange with an AMOLED that peaks at a 120Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits brightness. Both 5G and 4G variants share the same 6.77” display size and 1080p FHD+ resolution, but the cheaper option doesn’t have an HDR10+ rating for the High Dynamic Range content.

Compared to the older Vivo V50 Lite, this new handset has a far better camera system as it replaces the 2MP depth mapper with a functional 8MP ultrawide unit. The Main rear shooter is a 50MP (f/1.8) sensor flanked by an Aura Ring LED flash. Then, we have a selfie camera on the front with 32MP resolution.

Vivo's latest V model takes a massive performance hit as the company knocks it down to LTE connectivity. You only get a Snapdragon 685 chip here, which is an entry-level platform from 2023. If Vivo decides to release the Lite version in Pakistan, this is the chip you can expect with the V60 Lite 4G model.

It goes up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone itself is well constructed using the same materials as the 5G version, tested with an IP65 rating for a tight seal against water and dust. The frame is quite thin at 7.8mm and pretty light, measuring 194 grams only.

Vivo V60 Lite 4G skimps on some connectivity options because of the weaker chip. It carries dual-band 5GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, which is serviceable hardware, but far from impressive. The V60 Lite 5G gives you BT 5.4 and WiFi 6, but these features have been slowly regressed from 4G devices lately.

At least Vivo didn’t have to compromise on battery and power. We find the same 6500mAh Si/C battery on the V60 Lite 4G and a 90W fast charging support that refills the tank in 55 minutes or under. The basic trim has 8/256GB memory, and starts at €450 (~PKR 148,000).
