Vivo has now unveiled the V60 Lite 5G to join the standard model that has been solo traveling for months. The newcomer landed in Taiwan first, one of the global markets. We suspect a wider release is on the way. Vivo V60 Lite 5G is an affordable version of the V60, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
It’s not quite up there with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip used by the V60, but the Lite version seems to have the Industry’s first Dimensity 7360 Turbo SoC. This is a GPU-ramped version of the old D7300 silicon with Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0, and MediaTek says it can deliver 20% better frame rates in games.
This is still a midrange chip, so gamers shouldn’t get their hopes up. The vanilla model is still far superior. Vivo V60 Lite’s forte is the display and battery. It’s built around a 6.77” AMOLED screen that has a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ 1080p resolution. You even get an HDR10+ rating here, unlike the old V50 Lite, which didn’t have any.
The punch hole is barely noticeable, and the bezels are uniform and slim. You get a 32MP selfie shooter on the display. Flip the phone over, and you’ll see a consistent camera layout to the V60, except for the third lens. The new Vivo Lite mobile only has a 50MP main and an 8MP Ultrawide shooter on the back.
The newcomer gets as slim as 7.59mm, and yet it possesses a 6500mAh battery inside to power everything up. That’s the same battery size as the more expensive V60 version. Not only that, they treat it with the same 90W fast charging.
This Lite version isn’t quite as durable, though, as it drops the certification to IP65. It can still endure water splashes with a full dust ingress rating, but cannot be fully submerged in liquids. The software it runs is the new FunTouch OS 15 with Android 15 core.
V60 Lite’s fingerprint is on the display. We learn that it has a dual speaker setup and a WiFi 6 chip with an NFC contact point built in. The premium midranger starts at 8/256GB, which is priced quite steeply at ~$460 (~PKR 130,000). The cost is even higher for the 12/256GB version at ~$495 (~PKR 140,000).
