The Galaxy S25 FE officially debuted at IFA 2025 in Berlin today. The newcomer brings back familiar design and display with minor improvements on the battery and chipset. It boots up to a stable Android 16 x One UI 8 firmware, and just like its siblings, Samsung promised 7 years of OS updates for the Galaxy S25 FE.
Galaxy S25 FE’s chipset has been promoted to Exynos 2400 (vs. Exynos 2400e on S24 FE). This small but meaningful upgrade bumps up the clock speeds to 3.21GHz. Since the SoC produces more heat, Samsung gave the phone a 10% bigger vapor cooling chamber. It should provide sustained performance under heavy load.
Sadly, you are only offered 8GB RAM and basic 128GB storage for the base price. You’ll need to pay extra to get better storage. MicroSD card support is still missing from the device. The phone’s thickness has been reduced significantly with the same IP68 rating and Armor Aluminum design.
The Samsung FE new model now measures 7.4mm, though surprisingly, it packs a bigger battery this year. They’ve upgraded the cell to 4900mAh (vs. 4700mAh on S24 FE). The screen gets the same Gorilla Glass Victus+ treatment for moderate protection against scratches or drops.
The phone is built around the same 6.7” Dynamic 2x AMOLED based on LTPS tech and a 120Hz high refresh rate. It’s only an ordinary 1080p panel, but the peak brightness scales up to 1900 nits in certain use cases. They’ve also promoted the selfie camera from 10MP to 12MP.
Speaking of cameras, the Galaxy S25 FE scores a 50MP main unit on the back, OIS stabilized, with Dual Pixel AutoFocus. The ultrawide unit is 12MP with the same old 123˚ FOV. Its telephoto shooter also uses the same 8MP sensor as last time, with 3X zoom and OIS stability.
We see the latest Bluetooth 5.4 and WiFi version 6e here. The One UI 8 software is stuffed with new and old AI goodies, like the Now Bar, Circle to Search, or Generative Edits. The screen has an optical fingerprint, and they’ve brought back Dex support on S25 FE. This is the first Fan Edition model with 45W wired charging. The base price for this new flagship entry is €749 (~PKR 248,000).
