Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and other upcoming lower-end Galaxy A phones have been making headlines for months. With many Galaxy A releases just around the corner now, the Galaxy A73 has stepped back into the spotlight. The phone is expected to launch very soon because its pre-release benchmarks have surfaced on the internet.

The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G was featured on the popular cross-platform benchmark, Geekbench. You can locate its public listing under the model number “SM0A7636B.” The scorecard contains not only the raw CPU benchmarks but also some system specs.

The benchmarks confirm that the Galaxy A73 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G at its heart. It’s a mid-range 5G chip powered by the latest Android x OneUI OS. Plus, you get at least 8GB of memory (a 6GB variant is also in the cards.) When engaging all cores, the Galaxy A73 maxes out at 2913 points but drops to 778 points when using a single core.

From previous certifications, we learn that the Galaxy A73 runs on a 5000 mAh battery and 25W charging. Although it’s unclear if Samsung will ship the charger with the retail box and if the move will also affect the Samsung mobile price. The phone’s quad-camera system features OIS-powered 108MP wide and 12MP ultra-wide shooters. Its screen is a 6.7” AMOLED panel with a 1080P resolution, smooth 90 Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint reader.

Based on the unofficial product mockups, Samsung hasn’t revisited the phone's design from last year. It’s a standard Galaxy A layout, but the 3.5mm audio jack is missing.
