Samsung maintains its commitment to device security, pushing out the latest update for the Galaxy A73 devices. Despite the recent Galaxy S24 launch, the Galaxy A73 is getting the January 2024 security patch without any delays in Europe.

Identified as firmware version A736BXXS6DXA1, the new software update is currently doing rounds in Turkey and is anticipated to roll out across Europe in the coming days. Samsung users in other regions can expect the update to reach their devices shortly.

The new Galaxy A73 firmware weighs under 500MB and aims to address over 75 security vulnerabilities identified in the previous software. By applying this patch, Galaxy A73 owners can significantly enhance the security of their devices.

To check for the update in regions other than Europe, users can navigate to the device’s Settings → Software update and tap Check for Updates. Once available, the Download and Install button will pop up. Once downloaded, the Samsung budget 5G model will reboot to a fresh software version with increased security.

The Galaxy A73, introduced by Samsung in early 2022, originally came with Android 12. As part of Samsung's commitment, the device has already received Android 13 and 14, corresponding to OneUI 5 and OneUI 6. Moving ahead, users can expect support for Android 15 as well.

In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G boasts a 6.7-inch Infinity display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has Full HD+ resolution and supports an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security. For photography, it uses a flagship lens configuration mounted with 108MP, 12MP, and 5MP sensors. With a 5000mAh cell and a Snapdragon 778G Chip, the Galaxy A73 performs seamlessly under stress.
