Samsung Galaxy A72 Latest Update; October 2023 Security Patch, Bug Fixes, and More

The Galaxy A72, a steadfast member of Samsung's Galaxy A series, is gearing up for another round of enhancements. The latest software update follows in the footsteps of its fellow A series compatriots, the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A32 5G. It’s big on security and less generous with enhancements.

Since its debut in early 2021, the Samsung Galaxy A72 has received two Android version updates, staying true to Samsung's 3-year commitment. Earlier this year, it embraced One UI 5.1, a feature-rich update that brought in some of the new functionalities introduced with the Galaxy S23 lineup.

But the Galaxy A72's journey doesn't end here. The next major milestone is Android 14 and One UI 6.0, promising a fresh experience for its users. The Samsung latest A model’s latest October security patch is building up to that future.

The update is doing rounds in select markets, with South American countries such as Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, and Paraguay among the first lucky recipients. The firmware version, identified by the cryptic DWJ1, serves up the October 2023 security patch.

It's more than just a routine security update, as it's packed with fixes for two critical Android OS vulnerabilities and an additional 13 vulnerabilities that have crossed paths with Samsung's software. It also includes bug fixes and stability enhancements, though Samsung has kept the specifics close to the chest.

For Galaxy A72 owners eager to level up their device's security and performance, the ideal path is to wait for over-the-air update notifications. When it appears, simply head to the Settings » Software update menu to get your hands on the latest improvements.

And for those in Pakistan, fret not, as the update will likely make its way to your device after it completes its rounds in the major global markets. Stay tuned for more updates, and enjoy the update enhancements as they roll in.
