Samsung's ongoing rollout for One UI 6.0 x Android 14 continues, and the popular Galaxy A72 now joins the supported devices list. While anticipation grows for the newer One UI 6.1, the Galaxy A72 has finally commenced receiving the long-awaited Android 14 update, joining select Middle Eastern and European countries.

Other markets, including Pakistan, need to wait slightly longer until the OTA’s official availability. The Galaxy A72 users should keep their eyes peeled for the update bearing the firmware version A725FXXU6EXB3. It’s a crucial update and also incorporates the January 2024 security patch.

The download process is straightforward, primarily through an over-the-air (OTA) update. Users can navigate to their phone’s Settings app, access Software Update, and select Download and Install. Once completed, the phone will reboot to an overhauled OS.

With Android 14 marking the final major OS update for Samsung's latest budget mobile, users may still anticipate the release of One UI 6.1 before the device reaches the end of its support period. One UI 6.0 introduces significant changes, including a redesigned Quick Panel for improved accessibility.

Moreover, the frequently used settings section and a refreshed font enhance the user experience. Music lovers will appreciate the new media player widget for the lock screen and notification control. Enhanced customization options abound, with additional font and placement choices for the lock screen clock widget.

Two new widgets grace the camera settings and detailed weather insights. A revamped Settings app now features a dedicated Battery section. Additionally, the Photo Editor app boasts a set of new controls for in-depth tweaking. Samsung has also streamlined the app drawer by removing its branding from stock app icons.
