The Oppo Reno5 launched in Pakistan at a virtual event yesterday. It costs the same as last year's Oppo Reno4 but brings several improvements in visuals and performance. Here are the upgrades and pricing.

Its 1080P AMOLED display is now capable of refreshing at 90Hz. The previous capsule-shaped hole-punch is replaced with a narrow, solitary cutout. Amazon and Netflix have certified the Oppo Reno5 screen for their respective HD content. And it filters out the harsh blue light for a more comfortable viewing experience. A hidden fingerprint scanner is merged with the panel. The Dolby Atmos-certified dual speakers produce a stereo effect.

Oppo's 50W SuperVOOC charging offers a full top-up in 48 minutes. In as little as five minutes, you can get up to three hours of video playback. The multi-layered charging and heat management system keeps the heat in check, both when the Oppo Reno5 is fast-charging and when engaged in resource-heavy computing.

Oppo's Latest model 2021 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 720G (the same as the Reno4), 8GB of memory, and 128GB of storage make up the internals. The battery capacity is 4310mAh. As always, the photography experience is front and center. The Oppo Reno5 camera has a host of features for videos — night mode, AI Highlight, Live HDR, and AI mix portrait.

If you're looking for the technicalities, the Reno 5 has a 64MP rear camera, combined with an 8MP 119° ultrawide cam, a 2MP macro shooter, and finally, a 2MP monochromatic sensor for better light intake. Selfies are taken with a 44MP camera and a very narrow f/2.4 aperture.

The latest ColorOS 11, built on Android11, powers the Reno5. It is chock-full of new features, mostly based around customization — from personalized always-on display to tweaking the system-wide dark mode. Oppo Reno5 starts from Rs. 59,999 and comes in Starry Black and Fantasy Silver editions.
