OPPO Reno 14 Series Now Official in Pakistan; Pre-orders Go Live with Exclusive Offer

Usama Rasool

Pre-orders for the Reno 14 series have finally begun in Pakistan, and early birds can book one of the three devices till August 8th. A special offer awaits all pre-ordered devices with 1 year of liquid and screen damage protection, and buyers can claim this treat by picking up their Reno 14 handsets between August 9th and 13th.

The company has unveiled three devices in Pakistan, and curiously enough, there’s no 4G variant to be seen in the series this time. Reno 14F 5G is the cheapest model in the crew. We also have Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro here, each device bundled with Color OS 15, AI Flash Photography, and AI Editor 2.0.

Oppo Reno 14 Pro

The most expensive model in the lineup kicks things off with an AMOLED 6.83” screen that has a 1200 nits HBM and a 120Hz refresh rate. This display is rated for HDR10+ content, and it’s plenty sharp with 460ppi (1.5K resolution). The phone seems to have decent protection with Gorilla Glass 7i and an IP68/IP69 waterproof rating.

This Pro model has a Dimensity 8450 (4nm) SoC, which is the most recent chipset in its class made by MediaTek. The Reno 14 Pro variant launched in our market brings 12GB RAM and 512GB (UFS 3.1) storage, which is great since it doesn’t have an SD card slot. There’s also a quad 50MP camera setup on this phone.

All three lenses on the back are based on 50MP resolution for the main, ultrawide, and 3.5X periscope telephoto. That selfie camera on the front is also a high-res 50MP sensor, and you can record 4K 60FPS videos on it. There’s even WiFi 6e available on this newcomer.

The battery here is 6200mAh with 80W charging. The Reno 14 Pro is the only model in this lineup with a wireless 50W input. As mentioned, this is the most expensive model, and it demands Rs 219,999 for its solo 12/512GB memory trim.

Oppo Reno 14

The Reno 14 holds the middle rank in the lineup, as reflected by its price tags: Rs 149,999 and Rs 159,999 for the 12/256GB and 12/512GB memory trims. This newcomer is powered by a one-generation-old Dimensity 8350 chip, though it’s doubtful you’ll feel any disparity in your day-to-day use.

Its screen is smaller at 6.59 inches, but it has the same AMOLED HDR10+ 120Hz panel. The peak brightness is 1200nits, and the resolution is just as sharp at 1.5K (1256 x 2760 pixels). The newcomer even has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and an Aluminium Alloy metal frame in common with the Pro.

The Reno 14 is every bit as good as the Pro when it comes to the camera. There’s a 50MP main shooter sitting beside a 50MP standard 3.5x Telephoto lens. You’ll find the same 50MP sensor on the front for selfies. But, with a cheaper price, the ultrawide camera takes a hit, dropping down to an 8MP resolution.

IP69 rating, dual speakers, and Optical fingerprint readers are standard across the board. The Reno 14 does offer the same 80W charging, though it cuts the battery down to 6000mAh. No wireless charging is available on this model.

Oppo Reno 14F 5G

Reno 14F is the cheapest of the bunch, but it isn’t that far off when it comes to design and durability. It brings an IP69 rating for full water submersion, and there’s AGC Dragontrail DT-Star D+ for screen safety. You may lose the HDR10+ rating on this model, but the panel gets a little brighter than the others.

Even though it virtually looks the same, this is a 1400-nit AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution and size are dropped to 1080p FHD+ and 6.57 inches. It does maintain that premium look with a thin 7.7mm profile and uniform bezels around the screen.

This newcomer has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 at its core, which makes it a 5G device. The chip may not compete in the upper-end, but it can handle pretty much every single task in an average user's daily routine. Its cameras are also quite reasonable for the price: a 50MP main shooter, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro. That front shooter comes with a 32MP selfie sensor.

The 6000mAh battery is also found in the Reno 14F, though the charging speeds are dropped to 45W. The sole 8/256GB variant launched in Pakistan for the Reno 14F 5G has a price tag of Rs 99,999, which is pretty much in line with previous generations.
