A new Infinix phone was released in Pakistan over the weekend. It’s actually a Hot series model, better known for its ability to change color on at least one of its finishes. We’re talking about the Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G here. It has a decent 6000mAh battery and Dimensity 7100, but the built-in space on this phone is only 128GB.

Yes, they only have a single 8/128GB version in Pakistan, but at least they didn’t take away its dedicated storage slot. You can put a microSD card in the Hot 70 Pro 5G. Anyway, this phone’s gimmick is the changing color. Thermo Orange has a dual-way thermosensing skin, apparently.
It’s Quite Orange at 0° and Playful Orange when it gets to 65°, so basically, it’s just switching between light and saturated colors. Then comes the Mirage Green, which has a leather finish. And it has a starry sky effect at night. Night Pulse and Dive Blue are normal colors. Silk Glow has a feathery texture.

Another one of its special tricks is the Dot Matrix Cube LED display on one of the camera modules. It’s a small but useful and customizable LCD on the back. Most of you would probably use it for notification alerts. But you can also put custom signatures or emojis on it. Again, it’s 100% customizable.

The camera setup is nothing to write home about, with just a single 50MP main unit on the back of Infinix latest Hot model, though it does have a Sony IMX 882 flagship sensor under it. There is some potential for the right camera user. And the selfie camera is only 8MP.
They’ve put XOS 16 on it, so it’s built around Android 16. This was their biggest UI revamp. Infinix made their custom skin a lot better this year, though it’s starting to feel like iOS 26. 3 major OS updates are coming. And the chipset breathing life into this operating system is Dimensity 7100.

This is a 5G device, so it’s perfect to test Zong and Jazz’s new 5G services in Pakistan. There’s a 6000mAh battery that leans average, with 45W fast charging. The fingerprint reader is on the side, though. That’s because the phone has been demoted to an IPS LCD.
The older Hot 60 Pro had AMOLED, but the Hot 70 Pro is built around a 6.76” IPS 144Hz LCD at 950 nits. It’s FHD+. They put a 5G chip on the phone, but took away the AMOLED. Infinix Hot 70 Pro is also IP68 rated this time (fully waterproof). 8/128GB solo memory trim will cost Rs 84,999 in Pakistan.
