Oppo’s recent teasers confirmed the Reno 14 series is headed outside China soon, and just as promised, it has appeared in the first international market today. One new device called the Oppo Reno 14F, and two older phones, Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro, have finally set foot in Taiwan. The lineup should continue to arrive in more regions from there.
Because we already covered the vanilla Reno 14 a week ago when it first arrived in Japan, we are only taking a look at the global Reno 14 Pro and Reno 14F today. Here’s a closer look at its specs and everything else you should know about these newcomers.
Oppo Reno 14 Pro
It’s a semi-flagship phone built around an LTPS OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s quite massive at 6.83,” but its peak brightness is a bit of a letdown at 1200nits. Still, it should provide decent readability under direct sunlight. The screen comes built-in with a fingerprint ID and 3840Hz PWM dimming.
There’s a quad 50MP camera setup on the Pro variant. A 50MP selfie camera lies on top of the screen in a punch hole. Flip the phone over to see a 50MP Main camera right beside its 50MP ultrawide unit and a 50MP Telephoto zoomer. It has 3x optical magnification and OIS stabilization as well.
A semi-flagship Dimensity 8450 chip handles the system here. Oppo seems to have mounted a 5400mm² vapor chamber on top of it for cooling. There’s a 6200mAh battery inside it, which you can recharge with either 80W wired or 50W wireless charging.
Its Color OS 15 system has all of Oppo’s AI tools and features for media enhancement purposes. There’s an IP69 rating on its Aerospace-grade Aluminium alloy chassis. The global Reno 14 Pro gets a 12/512GB memory trim, which costs ~$815 (~PKR 230,000). The Pro ships in either Black Mist or Gorgeous White colors.
Oppo Reno 14F
This is the cheapest option of all. The Reno 14F is capped at 1080p resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, on a 6.57” AMOLED panel. It can push the brightness to around 1400 nits in peak conditions. There’s a Dragontrail Glass to protect the panel, and it also brings a full IP69 waterproof build.
The battery inside this phone is 6000mAh, the same as the vanilla Reno 14. You can plug it into a 45W charger. It has all the Oppo AI tools, which you have already seen on the Pro or vanilla variant. And the Reno 14F powers it all with a “Snapdragon 6 Gen 1” chip.
The cameras are not on the same level as the Pro variant, but they get the job done. There’s a 32 MP selfie camera on the front with AutoFocus, and a 50 MP main OIS camera that lives on the back for your primary usage. It also carries an extra 8 MP ultrawide unit and a 2 MP macro shooter.
Oppo did not reveal the Reno 14F’s price during the launch. All that’s been confirmed so far is its color palette and the storage, which, by the way, is limited to 12/512GB. The rest of its details are bound to come out as soon as it begins deployment in other countries.
