The Oppo Reno 14 series will soon expand beyond the Chinese market. After the Reno 14 and 14 Pro’s initial debut, the brand has started dropping subtle hints about a broader release for both these handsets. Oppo hasn’t revealed the launch date yet, but a fresh leak suggests the global rollout might begin within a few weeks.
The leak comes from the SmartPrix publication, which has a proven track record with this sort of information. Apparently, the Oppo Reno 14 and 14 Pro have been slated for an early July release in one of Asia’s biggest smartphone markets.
The exact date is still missing, but this leak might give you an idea about the series’ launch trajectory in Asia, and subsequently in other regions. SmartPrix also exposed a live photo of the international Reno 14 in a Pearl White finish. Just like its Chinese counterpart, this has a metal frame and a unique pattern on the back.
Apart from a few modifications, Oppo Reno 14 and 14 Pro should have most of the specs identical to those Chinese models. Let’s get you up to speed with both their specifications so you can get a rough idea of what to expect from the global Reno 14 series—especially if you're keeping an eye on the Oppo price list for your next upgrade.
The base Reno 14 from China gets you a 6.59” 120Hz AMOLED screen with 1.5k resolution. Its brightness reaches 1200 nits in typical use cases. You can even watch HDR10+ content on this display. All these features are available on the Reno 14 Pro as well, but its screen size is slightly bigger at 6.83 inches.
There’s a triple camera system on both these devices with 50MP Main, 50MP telephoto, and 50MP selfie shooters on their front sides. The only difference is that the Pro has a 50MP ultrawide, while the base Reno 14 comes with an 8MP ultrawide lens.
The Oppo Reno 14 Pro has a bigger battery at 6200mAh capacity. The base Reno 14 features a slightly smaller 6000mAh cell. The 80W wired charging speed is standard across the board, but wireless 50W charging is exclusive to the Pro variant only.
The Reno 14 and 14 Pro carry Dimensity 8350 and 8450 SoCs, respectively. These are high-end chips with respectable gaming performance. We might find similar specs on the global variants as well. Stay tuned for further updates as more leaks provide information on Reno 14’s global launch in the upcoming weeks.
