Oppo F17 is Already in the Works; the ‘Sleekest’ F-series Model Yet is All Set to Go Official in September

Other than the upcoming A53, Oppo has another successor to a still-recent model in the pipeline. The newest addition to the budget-friendly F-series, the Oppo F17 is scheduled for launch in September in India. And given Oppo’s typical release calendar, it should debut in Pakistan shortly afterwards.

Citing the phone leaker @stufflistings, the publication notes that the F17 would be a ‘sleek’ redesign over its predecessor, the Oppo F15 — in fact, the ‘sleekest’ F-series edition yet.

Since the source doesn’t detail any Oppo F17 specifics, the sleekier design language could either point to a reinvented look or a more tweaked, polished form of Oppo’s current trending signature.

Recounting the F15 that was introduced in January this year, it’s built with a focus on pragmatic layout, balance, and ergonomics — elements that could be borrowed by the F17 by Oppo. Advertised as ‘ultra-thin lightness you can feel’, the phone is 7.9mm thin and weighs in at only 172g and is available at an affordable Oppo mobile price tag.

The Oppo F17's predecessor AKA the F15 comes in two editions: Lightning Black and Unicorn White. Each with its own unique take on a shimmering, embossed back. The jet-black paint job features iridescent multi-colored streaks raying out from an edge, while the other has a soft pink-to-blue gradient — rounded off by subtle gleaming highlights.

Around the front, its 20:9 FHD+ AMOLED screen has an in-display fingerprint reader embedded inside. It stretches 6.4” across with its top-bezel morphing into a drop notch and reaching 90.5% screen real-estate. And of course, an Oppo mid-ranger won’t be complete without a photography-oriented build. For its optics, the F15 uses a 48MP main camera, combined with an 8MP ultrawide and two 2MP portrait sensors.
