iPhone 18 Pro Series Moves into Test Production Before Full-Scale Manufacturing

Apple’s launch timeframe for iPhones is mostly static. The next iPhone 18 Pro series should arrive in September again this year, and it’s surely in development right now. We came across a leak today that the test production phase has started for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.

The news source is actually Fixed Focus Digital, who posted the details on Weibo. The leaker is usually right with these sorts of predictions, and that’s why his claim is going viral on the web. He mentioned that both iPhone 18 Pros are in the test production phase right now.

Apple usually takes some time to assess and weed out any issues that may appear during the mass production of its iPhones. They do the production testing first, so there are no issues or surprises as the real hardware assembly begins.

Well, this production validation test will make sure that everything goes smoothly during the actual mass manufacturing phase. And it happens around the same time every year. By the way, the test production will probably involve Apple’s own assembly lines and tools. Here is a summary of the iPhone's latest models available to check out.

The leaker also said that no changes are being made to the design or material. The build specifications are kept nearly identical to the last generation here. This is true about the physical form, but not so much for the Dynamic Island.

There are rumors floating around speaking of a smaller Dynamic Island or no Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 series. We personally favor the smaller Dynamic Island leaks because Apple is far from ready to put a punch hole cutout on its iPhones.

Apple is giving variable aperture a first try on the iPhone Pro. Correct execution is required, of course, but this move has potential. There’s possibly an Apple A20 processor and Apple C2 modem on the way. We might even have a dedicated wireless chip here. The leaks spree is far from over. We have much to learn about these iPhones. So wait for further updates.
