Leakers are trying to determine every possible detail about the Galaxy S26 Ultra before it launches. They’ve had quite a successful run so far. More and more specs on this device are popping up every day. A new leak brings proof that the S26 Ultra will feature upgraded Super Fast Charging 3.0.

You may be familiar with the leaked One UI 8.5 firmware files. It has helped leakers uncover several details about the S26 Ultra. Well, people at Android Authority scoured through the files themselves and found a text string that says “Super Fast Charging 3.0.” That was a curious detail.
Samsung has been calling its current standard 45W input Super Fast Charging 2.0. We have the same phrase in the firmware files, but it’s version 3.0. A rumor has been going around for a while that 60W charging is a possibility for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Super Fast Charging 3.0 could be referring to that leaked 60W input on Samsung’s latest Ultra mobile, or at least that’s what Android Authority believes. They are obviously still considering Power Delivery or PD as the charging standard. Samsung trusts that this makes Accessory hunting easier for customers, which is debatable.

Anyway, the company has been pushing 45W charging on Ultra phones since 2020 (except for the S21 Ultra with 25W), so this upgrade means a lot to Samsung fans. It’s not quite at the level of Chinese phones, which range between 80W and 240W.

At least the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will have faster charging support than the Pixel 10 line and the iPhone 17 series. OnePlus 15 is still a threat to its throne in the US, because it literally doubles the input speed to 120W. And that phone has a massive 7,300mAh battery as well.
There’s no telling if the faster 60W charging standard is somehow linked to a battery upgrade on the S26 Ultra. Some say this phone will push beyond its usual 5000 mAh limit, but we have to wait for confirmation. Keep watching the news for updates.
