Samsung has started teasing the Galaxy event for next month. The date is set for September 4th, just a few days ahead of the iPhone 17 release. As expected, the new Galaxy S25 “Fan Edition” will be the main attraction in the keynote, among a few other products. The official video teaser has limited details. Here’s the breakdown.
Before IFA 2025 commences in Berlin, Samsung wants to wrap up the Galaxy event. The keynote is slated for next week, Thursday at 11:30 AM CEST (2:30 PM in Pakistan). Of course, the event will be streamed live for all. You should be able to watch it on YouTube and Samsung’s official website.
About the products that will hit the stage, smartphone fans can look forward to the Galaxy S25 FE. The event is also crucial for tablet fans, as the company plans to debut its flagship Tab 11 series there. The teaser also mentions “AI for all,” so expect part of the keynote to address their AI tools.
There are no official details on Samsung's latest FE model; only those that have been revealed by European retailers and tipsters over the past weeks. The new Fan Edition is laying the groundwork for a performance boost with the full-fledged Exynos 2400 SoC, which peaks at 3.21GHz clock speed.
The chip may be one year old, but it should bring the phone back to a flagship status. There are rumors of a selfie cam upgrade. Samsung could strip out the old 10MP outsole and outfit the S25 FE with a 12MP shooter. Sadly, we don’t see any upgrades coming to the rear setup.
The company’s S25 Edge sets expectations for thinner devices in the future. Apparently, the S25 FE trims the profile to 7.4mm without sacrificing the battery capacity. In fact, Samsung plans to upgrade it to 4900mAh and wire it to a faster 45W input.
The phone sticks to its roots in other categories. The Galaxy S25 FE will use an old 6.7” AMOLED with FHD+ resolution at a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone’s design is kept the same. Aesthetic change comes from the four new colors. The price tag will be confirmed at launch. Keep watching the news.
