Xiaomi's upcoming Redmi A3 will hit the market as an upgraded successor to the Redmi A2, promising significant changes in both design and performance. Ahead of its release, the newcomer has appeared unofficially on various African retail platforms, showcasing crucial details and features.

The Redmi A3 will make a noticeable departure from its predecessor in the design category. Sporting a glass back and adopting a circular camera module, it draws inspiration from the Realme 11 Pro series. The handset will likely boast a 6.71-inch LCD with HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness reaching 400 nits.

The device will go official in three color variants: Black, Blue, and Forest Green. In the camera department, the Redmi A3 abounds with a 13MP primary rear camera, complemented by an 8MP front-facing camera. For power, the phone retains a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

Driving the Redmi A3 is an unknown MediaTek processor with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and an additional 4GB Virtual RAM. Users can expect ample storage with 128GB eMMC 5.1, expandable through a dedicated microSD card slot. Running on Android 13 (Go Edition), the new Xiaomi budget mobile aims for an optimized user interface for better performance.

The Redmi A3 supports dual-SIM functionality, 4G connectivity, WiFi 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, and various satellite navigation systems. With these leaks setting the stage, anticipation is building fast for the official launch of the Redmi A3. Xiaomi enthusiasts will soon get to experience the device firsthand in Africa soon.
