Xiaomi 18 Pro Leaks Again with Dual 200MP Camera, 2nm Chip, and Massive Battery

Xiaomi 18 series leaks are ramping up. We’ve found another report that adds a few more details to the pile. Xiaomi 18 Pro could feature a bigger, upgraded battery this time and possibly a dual 200MP camera system. This is everything we found in the leak.

The insider info came from Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The leaker doubles down on his earlier predictions here. The original post was in Chinese. So we had to translate and interpret a few lines. He actually talks about the smaller Pro version here, not the Pro Max.

A Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip could be used on the Xiaomi flagship's new mobile. This is being reported as a 2nm SoC. Many sources suggest the silicon splits into the vanilla and Pro variants, something Apple has been doing for a while. But the leaker didn’t make it clear which one is being used on the 18 Pro.

Anyway, the battery on this newcomer is vastly upgraded. It’s meant to be a smaller handset, after all. So we didn’t expect such a big number. They are moving from a 6300 mAh cell to something in the 7000 mAh range. Again, DCS was vague and only tipped the starting figure “7.”

They are wiring this huge battery to a 100W charger. Of course, wireless charging is also found on the Xiaomi 18 Pro, but the exact figure is anyone’s guess. It’s probably too early for an accurate prediction. The leaker also shared what could be the newcomer’s biggest upgrade this year.

The camera will turn into a dual 200MP lens setup: one for the main lens and the other for an optical zoom telephoto macro lens. This is coming from a tri-50MP set on the back of Xiaomi 17 Pro. It will be a massive boon for the image quality if the rumor actually pans out.

We hear the numbers are even crazier on the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. One rumor suggested that its battery will be 8200mAh (up from 17 Pro Max’s 7500mAh). 16GB RAM and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 are also coming. And the same dual 200MP lens setup is rumored for the Pro Max as well. Keep watching the news for more updates.
