Some brand new mockups of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra have emerged on the Chinese social media platform Weibo recently, confirming the handset's rear design. The series is set to Unveil later today in China at 4:00 PM Pakistani time, including the already leaked Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro.

The Xiaomi 12s Ultra looks like a retro digital camera with a leather rear casing. A monstrous camera slab marked with Leica branding covers the whole top section. This slab is overshadowed by a mammoth circular disk, encasing the 12S Ultra’s tri-lens cluster. The primary 1-inch Sony IMX-989 shooter is planted at the disk’s core with the secondary periscope right beneath. On the right is an LED flash while the ultrawide lens occupies the left position.

Previous rumors suggested the main lens to be 50 MP OIS enabled. The other two snappers on 12s Ultra will allegedly be 48 MP sensors, where the telephoto periscope lens will expectedly support 5x lossless zoom. The selfie shooter will reportedly rely on a 20 MP lens.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra will likely rock a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU. A 4,800 mAh cell supporting 67W TurboCharging and 50W is expected to fuel the smartphone. According to the handset’s CAD renders, it will feature a 6.7’’ Quad HD+ curved AMOLED display.

12S Ultra will reportingly join the Xiaomi price catalog carrying up to 8GB LPDDR5 memory and a maximum of 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage variants. The leaked marketing images confirm the device to be launching in a ceramic back finish along with other color options.
