Xiaomi is keeping the 12 lineup of its flagship smartphones alive by constantly introducing new members. We saw the Xiaomi 12S series recently, and now it’s time for the 12T family to steal the limelight. Per a reliable leakster, Mukul Sharma’s tweet, the vanilla 12T 5G has acquired a place on the Indonesian TKDN database, which hints at an imminent launch.

The Xiaomi 12T 5G is expected to start its journey from Asia before making its way to the other regions and might also hit Pakistan. The TKDN certification doesn't enlist any details regarding the 12T 5G. However, we have some previous reports to mention. Last month, the 12T 5G made it to the FCC website along with the other series members, the Xiaomi 12T Pro and 12T Pro Hypercharge.

The 12T 5G will bag 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard memory. It will support seven 5G bands, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, GPS, Bluetooth, and an IR (Infrared Radiation) blaster.

According to Skrzypeki, the 12T 5G will derive its power from a MediaTek Dimesity 8100 Ultra chipset, while the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 will move toward the Pro variant. A 120 Hz AMOLED panel will likely cover the front. The 12T series will allegedly be equipped with OIS-enabled cameras for photography. Xiaomi’s 120W HyperCharge technology is also expected to make its way inside the 12T series.

As the tradition goes, Xiaomi will launch the T lineup with various naming schemes in different regions. The Xiaomi 12T and the 12T Pro could launch in the Chinese market as the Redmi K50S and K50 Pro, respectively. It's too early to speculate on Xiaomi phone price and availability, we'll learn more when the phone drops in an Asian market.
