This season's seemingly endless releases of Vivo Y-series phones continue since another edition of the Vivo Y21 family is dropping soon. The upcoming Y21T is a mild refresh of the original Y21 with a new chipset. We have the launch timeline and the specs to report.

MySmartPrice published the details in partnership with Ishan Agarwal. Vivo Y21T debuts on January 3 next year in a single storage variant. The original Y21 features the MediaTek Helio G80. But the Y21T has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 at its heart. It's a new 4G chip, built on a 6nm process node. It's not faster, but it is more power-efficient.

Four GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage rounds off the Snapdragon 680. The storage is expandable via a microSD card. It's all powered by a 5000 mAh battery. Vivo Y21T also quick-charges at 18W over a USB-C port. Android 11 x FunTouchOS powers the Y21T.

Vivo Phones price tag usually matches what the handset has to offer, though the design is still unchanged. We're looking at a notched display, glossy shell, and raised camera rectangle. It comes in pale blue and emerald finishes. The triple-camera cluster features a 50MP wide and two 2MP lenses.

Vivo Y21T screen is a 6.58" IPS LCD with a 720P resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The whole body weighs 182g and measures 8mm in depth. Vivo Y21T reportedly starts from INR 15,000 (~ Rs. 35,800.)
