Vivo V23e is still a day away from launching in Pakistan, but the Y21T dropped in Indonesia today following a few rumors and leaks. It’s a Y21 with a new chip, as previously predicted. Some stories had pointed out that the Y21T rocks a better screen than its fellow Y21 editions. As it turns out, there are no surprises here.

The Snapdragon 680 — a new 4G budget chip from Qualcomm — is at the heart of Vivo Y21T. The Y21 series had adopted 12nm MediaTek SoCs until now. But the 6nm node inside the Snapdragon 680 should make the Y21T more power-efficient. However, the OS powering it is still the last-gen Android 11 x FunTouchOS 12.

You also get 6GB of virtually extended memory for multitasking and 128GB of internal storage. Everything runs on a powerful 5000 mAh battery. It delivers all-day battery life and supports 18W Flash Charging when you’re running out. MicroSD slot for storage expansion, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB-C port are also available.

A 6.51” IPS LCD screen houses the front camera inside a V-notch on the new 4G Vivo mobile. It fills a 20:9 aspect ratio and an 89% screen-to-body ratio. The resolution peaks at 720P and the refresh rate at 60Hz. The camera on it is 8MP.  We’re looking at an 8 mm frame and a flat glossy casing that weighs 182g. The camera island on the Vivo Y21T features three lenses — 50MP wide-angle, 2MP macro, and 2MP portrait shooters.

Vivo Y21T is currently on pre-sale in Indonesia starting from Rp 3,099,000 (~ Rs. 38,000.) You can pick from Midnight Blue and Pearl White colors.
