Launched on June 1 in China, the Vivo X50 series is soon headed to the global market carrying some attractive Vivo price tags. The official listing is already up on Vivo’s global webpage, and the company has also published the teaser video for the Vivo X50, Vivo X50 Pro, and the X50 Pro Plus on its social media.
The Vivo X50 series is the company’s flagship lineup that debuted with photography-first builds featuring innovative gimbal-powered image stabilization and periscope hardware that supports up to 60x zoom.
The official channel doesn’t point to a definitive launch date, but based on Vivo’s typical release calendar, the series should land in other Asian markets before it’s shipped across continents. For our readers out of the loop, here’s a rundown of Vivo’s latest generation of flagships.
Across the board, you get hole-punch displays that curve and wrap around the edges in the Pro and Vivo X50 Pro Plus editions. The bezels are incredibly narrow, allowing the AMOLED display to stretch 6.56” from corner to corner. The standard and ‘Pro’ X50 models support up to 90Hz refresh rates, while the Pro+ variant can reach an extreme 120Hz. The builds use aluminum + glass/leather combination, presenting a gorgeous aesthetic.
The camera setup is where things get interesting. The X50 Pro+ uses a 50MP main camera, an 8MP periscope sensor, a 13MP portrait and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The Pro version swaps out the 50MP lens for a 48MP primary lens and is augmented with the unique gimbal-style mount.
The Vivo X50 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 865, with support for 5G connectivity and the Pro variant runs on the Snapdragon 765G platform. You get a 12GB + 256GB combination with the Pro+, and up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with the X50 Pro.
The X50 starts at CNY 3,498 (83,000 PKR), the X50 Pro from CNY 4,298 (102,000 PKR), and the Pro+ will retail for CNY 4,998 (118,000 PKR).
