Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro Go Global, the Gimbal-Touting Series Might Soon be Headed to Pakistan

Vivo’s recently introduced Vivo X50 series has just gone global, following a launch in China. At a press release, Vivo representatives announced that the company would be releasing the Vivo X50 duo to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asian Pacific markets soon, including perhaps Pakistan. Here’s everything you need to know about Vivo’s newest flagships.

Let’s start with the Vivo X50 Pro, which made waves with its one-of-a-kind miniature gimbal technology. Vivo calls this camera the ‘Big Eye’ design, and it’s 300% more stable than traditional OIS.

Aside from the ‘wow factor,’ a 48MP main camera rests on top of the gimbal mount with a wide f/1.6 aperture, a 13MP portrait lens, a 120𝆩 super-wide and macro sensor, and an 8MP periscope unit that provides lossless zoom.

For low-light, the big X50 Pro aperture and AI Noise Cancellation cut through the noise to produce sharper, clearer shots. The prism-style telephoto can take detailed shots, zoomed in 60x over — 5x optical and 6x digital.

Its 6.56” AMOLED screen melts around the edges, much like a waterfall design with a hole punched into its corner. You get a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, a 180 sampling rate, and the display can reach a whopping 1300 nits but don't forget that the Pro Variant of the X50 comes at a flagship-level Vivo price point.

The performance is handled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G platform, (which has a baked-in 5G antenna) 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. And its 4,315 mAh battery is recharged with Vivo FlashCharge 2.0 (33W).

The standard X50 has a more straightforward, basic build. It retains the design language but ditches the curved profile of the screen and the gimbal stabilization. Its flat display, however, has the same specifications as the ‘Pro’ edition. The duo comes in Frost Blue and Glaze black shades, polished and soft. We expect the X50 to start from Rs. 84,999 and the X50 Pro to retail for Rs. 114,999.
