Vivo posted a new teaser for the Vivo V80 Lite on social media today. It had a countdown. Only two days are left till the phone arrives in Pakistan, so the launch is possibly set for August 24. Apparently, Pakistan is among the first regions where they’ll deploy the V80 Lite.
This phone hasn’t been revealed anywhere in the world yet, so all we have right now are the specs they’ve officially teased so far and a couple of details we found on the press release earlier when they started teasing the V80 Lite. The phone has a very thin profile and edge design.
They’ve put a screen on it that curves at the edges. They teased an AMOLED 1.5K resolution panel on the V80 Lite, apparently. They keep parroting the dual 3D curve design, and we just found a 32MP selfie camera in one of their video teasers.
There’s a premium look to the Vivo new 5G mobile, by the way, and it’s intentional. There’s apparently a Skyline camera design on the back, which is basically just a horizontal camera strip on the back, where they’ve put two lenses. We know exactly what lies inside the camera stack.
It’s apparently just a single 50MP main camera and an auxiliary unit. Reports say the main camera is a Sony IMX852. There’s one more detail they threw in a teaser. Vivo V80 Lite is built around a Dimensity 7360 Turbo chip, so its performance will be snappy.
We have a pre-launch press release with us where they’ve confirmed a 7050mAh (typical) cell on the Vivo V80 Lite. That is supposed to last a full day, apparently. This chip is old, but it still has some life left. It should help the V80 Lite with consistent smoothness for 50 months.
That curved screen you see on the front is exactly the same as the Vivo S2 in China, so it must be a 6.83” panel. There’s possibly a 120Hz refresh rate on this CrystalRes 1.5K AMOLED. The OS version is Android 16 (Origin OS 6). Stay tuned for the phone’s launch on August 24.
