Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Found in More Renders; Confirms Wider Footprint Once Again

The wide/compact Galaxy Fold is not a hoax. This device is real, and we may see it launch in July next to the normal Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8. The third and new variant is actually going by Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. It has stolen the vanilla status from the original device. Anyway, we have some renders here that seem to verify its design.

There have been other render leaks, but every passing design leak gives us a fresh perspective on how the device actually looks, and we are always grateful. Credit for these images actually goes to @Alfaturk16, who put the whole set on X/Twitter.

The phone has a cover case on, but you can obviously tell the form factor of the Samsung latest Fold mobile. It’s going after the Huawei Pura X Max with dimensions like this, and clearly means to be a rival for the iPhone Ultra. There are only two cameras on the back. The rear and inner screens have two selfie shooters.

It may be smaller, but wireless charging is present on the Galaxy Z Fold 8. That’s why you see that “O” ring on the back. That’s a magnetic strip for coil alignment. There’s one TPU case, and the other is a full black cover. The case design seems pretty secure.

These images must have been from a case maker. If the accessory designer has put that much effort into the case renders, then they clearly want to mass produce it, which once again proves that the Z Fold 8 is a real device after all.

There have been reports on the screen sizes. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is supposed to be a wide-screen version of the original model. The inner display is a not-so-small 7.6” OLED. The outer one is a 5.4” flat OLED. They are both 120Hz, by the way.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is used on the base and Ultra Z Fold. There’s no 200MP camera for it. The main sensor on the Z Fold 8 is 50MP over or under the Ultrawide 50MP unit. And the battery could be 4800mAh. Keep watching the news for more updates.
