The series coming up next has two folding devices instead of one. They’ve added a wide foldable to the lineup this time, which may have led Samsung to rethink their name tags. Many leaks claimed that the standard variant will now be called the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. It’s not just a rumor anymore. This title was confirmed by Bluetooth SIG today.

Several versions of this device got listed on the Bluetooth SIG database, and the moniker Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is slapped on each of them. There’s no point denying this reality anymore. The company has indeed split the horizontal Z Fold into two devices.
The taller version gets the Ultra moniker. The wide version, on the other hand, steals the original Galaxy Z Fold 8 title. That’s out of the way now, so we can get to the juicy part. Bluetooth SIG cleared the same phone under the model codes SC-56G/SCG39/SM-F976C/SM-F976Q/SM-F976Z.

We know that each version has a different target region, as is always the case with the Galaxy phones. Bluetooth SIG is obviously not the database for internal information. It’s mostly empty, and all it has are the model numbers. Here you can explore the updated, Samsung Price catalog for Pakistan.

But Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has been on the radar of many leakers and publications. And they did unravel a few of its secrets. Apparently, this Z Fold 8 Ultra is built around a 5000mAh battery. This does sound like an ordinary number, but keep in mind that it’s a big upgrade over the Z Fold 7’s puny 4400mAh cell.

This battery will get plugged into a 45W charger. The phone’s weight is 215grams. The capacity grew, but the frame has shrunk this year to 4.1mm (unfolded). That’s actually 0.1mm thinner than the older handset.
Like we said at the beginning, this newcomer is not alone anymore, because the Galaxy Z Fold 8 has joined the team with a wide frame that could take on the iPhone Ultra. That particular version is only 201g based on a few reports, and the battery inside it could be 4800mAh (45W). This will grab a 50MP main camera. Keep watching the news for more updates.
