Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G had a global launch in February. But it was never released in the local market. Well, that’s about to change. Our sources tell us that the handset might arrive in Pakistan on October 15th. The promotional phase will begin any day. This is everything you need to know about Pova Curve 2.

The phone’s a midranger with 5G hardware. Pova Curve 2 is built around a 6.78” curved AMOLED screen. 144Hz is the max refresh rate here with FHD+ 1080p resolution. The screen’s local peak brightness is 4,500 nits in isolated spots. It hits 1600 in HBM mode.
That curved screen has its perks. These are the slimmest bezels we’ve seen in the price range. Gorilla Glass 7i will shield it from scratches. We have a Dimensity 7100 onboard doing the heavy lifting with a 2.4GHz clock speed and UFS 2.2 storage.

You haven’t heard the best part yet. The newcomer’s built around an 8000mAh battery. This isn’t really a Si/C pack, but they still manage to keep the phone’s thickness below 7.5mm. It plugs into a 45W charger for backup. A single refill will last two days if you are a light user.

Tecno new Pova mobile had a nice head start with Android 16 back when it launched, but it’s not the latest OS anymore, and you only get two years of OS updates on the phone. There is G1 signal enhancement and a dedicated SE1 dual-band WiFi chip here.

The camera design is pretty unique, but the hardware is quite basic. All you get is a 50MP main camera on the back next to a 2MP depth mapper. And the selfie shooter behind the screen is 13MP. The chipset caps the recording at 1440p 30 FPS from the main sensor.
IP64 rating keeps the Pova safe from minor splashes, and it also has drop protection (1.5m). There’s dual-band WiFi here, only one speaker for mono audio, and an IR port. The phone’s starting price is roughly $310 (~PKR 85,000) globally. Keep watching the news for more updates.
