The Pova series had a Curve model last time. It’s being updated again with the Tecno Pova Curve 2. It’s supposed to be a 5G device with possibly a Dimensity chip. A new leak has given away most of its specifications, and we get to see the phone’s design from every angle. This is what the new model looks like.
They’ve obviously kept the design continuity in mind. This newcomer looks a bit cleaner, sure, but it still has a gaming phone aura. The triangular camera layout is made of three lenses, the leaked render shows. Two of them are paired with a black accent around them, and one is isolated.
The leak claimed that Pova Curve 2’s camera could be your garden-variety 50MP + 2MP setup. There’s no telling what the third lens does. Also, XpertPick’s report didn’t mention the selfie cam resolution. There are a few gaps that need filling after this leak.
Anyway, the report continues. XpertPick says the latest Tecno Pova mobile screen is a curved AMOLED 6.78” panel and its peak resolution is 1.5K. This is obviously much better than the FHD+ resolution of its Pova Curve 5G predecessor. The new Curve 2 still hits a 144Hz refresh rate on the panel.
The leak says it has a Dimensity 7100, but we doubt that. Why would this Pova Curve 2 have the older chip, when its forerunner launched with the new Dimensity 7300 Ultimate SoC? The newcomer should have the same silicon or something better, in our opinion.
The basic option XpertPick has reported with the Curve 2 is 8/128GB. It gets way better as you step up. There’s also 8/256GB and 12/256GB trims. The company will obviously have the Android 16 HiOS 16 ready by the time Tecno Pova Curve 2 hits the market.
The report threw in a few more details. The Pova Curve 2 is built around an 8000mAh battery, which is a big upgrade. The last model only had 5500mAh. The 45W charging speed hasn’t really changed. This newcomer will be IP64 rated, and its alleged price is around $180 (~PKR 50,000).
