Tecno Pova Curve 2 isn’t technically a part of the Pova 8 series. So they’ve decided to launch it early, before the MWC 2026 event. There was a lot of anticipation for this newcomer and plenty of rumors to keep the hype going. Now that the Tecno Pova Curve 2 has actually launched, we have a reliable spec sheet as well.

This newcomer is built around a 6.78” curve AMOLED screen, just as we suspected. And the refresh rate is 144Hz with 1.5K resolution, something that was already confirmed by the Google Play Console listing. By the way, the AMOLED’s local peak brightness is 4500nits.
You can tell the bezels are nearly non-existent on the Pova Curve 2. It’s definitely punching above its weight class on display. You have a Dimensity 7100 chipset putting in the labor here with a 2.4GHz clock speed and UFS 2.2 storage.

The most sought-after feature on the Tecno new Pova model is actually the huge 8000mAh battery. It’s not Si/C, but they still manage to keep the thickness below 7.5mm. The charger for this battery is 45W, but you only need to plug in the phone once, and it will keep going for two days.

Pova Curve 2 gets a nice headstart with Android 16 and HiOS 16. Still, you only get two years of OS updates for the software. They have put in some elbow grease to upgrade connectivity on this newcomer. There are G1 signal enhancement and dedicated SE1 WiFi chips here.

Props to the team for making such a unique-looking camera design, but you’ll be disappointed to know that it’s their usual 50MP + 2MP lens setup. And there’s only a 13MP selfie unit on the front. And for the kind of price you pay for the Pova Curve 2, these camera specs might sting a bit.
Anyway, the phone’s durability is rated IP64 with drop safety (1.5m). There’s dual-band WiFi, only one speaker, and an IR port on its frame. The starting price of Pova Curve 2 5G is ~$310 (~PKR 86,000) for the base 8/128GB trim. But the upgrade path leads you to the 8/256GB option ~$330 (~PKR 92,000).
