September 2026 patch has arrived late on the Galaxy S24 series, as we enter October. It’s not the stable One UI 9, but the update is likely building up to it. The patch is out to fix some security issues in the current firmware. This is everything you need to know.

The update has shown up on the global S24/S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. There’s even a patch for the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE with the firmware code “S721BXXSEDZI1,” which we found in a separate leak. But the primary lineup would get the firmware “S92xBXXSHDZI1.”
These are small updates. Samsung latest S mobile ended up with the OTA package that’s only 438.23MB, and the rest of the S24 series got a 450.43MB download with the September 2026 patch. By the way, it has fixes for up to 90 weak points in the current One UI build.

58 patches are from Google for the core Android, and Samsung itself has pushed 38 fixes for One UI. Samsung Semiconductor has also added one fix to the update. You don’t want to sit this one out. There are at least 18 critical patches in the update.

You should install the September patch as soon as you have it. And it’s pretty easy to do. Your phone will send you an alert when it finds the available update. For some, that might not happen. You can also “Check for Updates” via the Settings >> Software Updates menu at the bottom.
A changelog will appear with the firmware codes we gave you at the top. You can then “Download and Install” the update at your convenience. You will soon need to use the same method to grab the latest One UI 9. The beta testing will soon wrap up on the Galaxy S24 series. We’ll report back when a stable version of the OS is available. Keep watching for the news.
