Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 Start Receiving March 2024 Security Update

Samsung is keeping its Galaxy lineup secure with the latest March 2024 security patch. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are the latest recipients of this update, bolstering the device security. Let’s take a closer look at the phone’s new security update.

Owners of international variants SM-F926B (Galaxy Z Fold 3) and SM-F711B (Galaxy Z Flip 3) can now download the firmware carrying the latest security patch. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 update comes with build number F926BXXS6GXBD, while the Galaxy Z Flip 3 update has the code F711BXXS7GXBD.

The new firmware update addresses numerous security vulnerabilities, fortifying the devices against cyber threats. Currently, the package is doing the rounds in Europe, with availability expected to expand to other regions in the coming days.

Users should receive automatic notifications for the update. If not, they can manually check for the firmware in the Samsung Fold 5G phone settings under "Software Update" and "Download and Install." The Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 users in Pakistan can follow the same criteria once the update pops up.

Excitingly, these devices are also on track to receive a major software upgrade to One UI 6.1 soon. Moreover, both the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 are eligible for Android 15 (One UI 7.0) when and if Google releases the update in the coming months.
