Now that their flagship releases are all wrapped, Samsung has shifted its focus on its mid-range and budget catalog. The Galaxy A52 5G has been benchmarked on Geekbench in early November and leaked in detailed renders. Its 4G cousin appeared on Geekbench yesterday. And since the 4G variant of its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy A51 also came out in December, you can expect a launch soon.
Both phones have been tested and should be ready to go into production if they're not already. However, Samsung Galaxy A52 4G is the one expected to hit the Pakistani market, instead of its 5G variant.
Compared to the 6GB memory and Snapdragon 750G chip of the Galaxy A52 5G, the 4G model has 8GB of RAM, powered by Snapdragon 720G. Samsung's latest Android11-based OneUI 3.0 runs on this hardware.
The benchmarks for the Galaxy A52 4G can be found under the model number "Samsung SM-A525F". Its scorecard shows 529 points on single-core and 1704 points on multi-core tests. To put these Samsung mobiles numbers in perspective, last year's Galaxy A51 peaks at 349 and 1222 on single and multi-threaded tasks.
It even outperformed the 5G Galaxy A52, which currently only manages a modest score of 298 and 1001 -- these numbers translate into a good bump in performance.
Save for the internals, the two phones should share the same, or at least a similar design (leaked in the renders mentioned above.) Samsung isn't making a lot of changes from the previous design. The 'Prism Crush' finish and the centered O-hole layout are making a return. But the Samsung Galaxy A52 camera island is more polished and geometric now. The chassis is plastic, and the frame is metallic.
