Samsung Galaxy A52s September Update is Out; Security Fixes and Stability Improvements

Samsung's September 2022 security update is on a roll-out, The patch reaches the Samsung Galaxy A52s, hitting device after device. When it comes to OS updates & patch releases, Samsung is the second-best brand in the industry (just one year shy of Apple Inc's top-notch 5-year support). Even Google's Pixel phone support bites the dust in front of Galaxies.


Following its patch refresh on the flagship S21 lineup & S20 FE, the Korean tech giant is moving on to its budget Galaxy A-series. The brand's well-sold 5G Galaxy A52s received a major update earlier this year, bumping the ancestor of the Samsung Galaxy A53 from Android 11 to Android 12. It launched in mid-2021, meaning it's still eligible for two major Android updates in the future. 

The brand sent out the September 2022 patch via OTA update to all Galaxy A52s 5G phones in Taiwan just moments ago. Per Samsung's usual OTA update cycle, the latest patch should air in Pakistan soon enough; once it's available, a simple tap on the "Update now" button in Settings> Software Updates will start the installation process. Let's review the contents of the latest patch update.


From what we know so far, A52s firmware will increase to A528BZTU1CVH6, after installing the update on the Samsung 5G new model. On paper, the September SMR package fixes 24 susceptible problems with a bonus of google enhancements & reliability fixes on the Android core. It also fixes some software bugs adding to its overall stability.

To recall, you get a quad-cam setup in this sweet Galaxy price package alongside a 120Hz, 1080p AMOLED screen. The Pakistani variant comes with 8GB memory and 128GB data capacity. An SD 778 5G SoC resides under the hood. The optical fingerprint scanner sits under the display — the whole thing powers with a 5000mAh battery cell.
