Samsung Galaxy A13 Pings the Latest May 2023 Security Update; Here's a Detailed Overview

The Korean Giant’s latest entry-level device, the Samsung Galaxy A13, has achieved an unprecedented milestone, receiving the latest May 2023 security update simultaneously with the company's flagship devices. It shows Samsung’s profound commitment to its user base. Let’s see what the contents of the update are. 


The latest OTA is doing rounds in various Latin American countries and is sure to expand its reach to other nations worldwide in the coming weeks. Galaxy A13's firmware version for the US, A135U1UES3BWD2, and A135MUBS3BWD2 for Colombia and Paraguay, serves patches for various security vulnerabilities associated with the device.

May 2023 update addresses more than 70 security concerns discovered in various Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Unfortunately, for Galaxy A13, no new features have been added with this update. It only mitigates privacy risks by providing enhanced security for the users.


The user base outside the counties mentioned above, including Pakistan, will have to wait for the update to hit your shores. Samsung's new budget model, the Galaxy A13 users will get notified with an alert once it becomes available. Users can also check for the update manually by navigating to Settings >> Software Update >> Check for Updates.

Samsung Galaxy A13 launched officially with Android 12 x ONE UI 4.0 out of the box. Soon after, it got updated to Android 13 x OneUI 5.0. It received the latest feature update, OneUI 5.1, a few months ago. And It continues to disseminate across different regions as we speak. Some global markets are yet to receive the 5.1 update.
