Samsung Galaxy A13 March 2023 Security Update Rolls Out; Patches Bugs and Privacy Threats

The company has released the March 2023 security update for its budget-friendly smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A13. The update includes various security patches and bug fixes to enhance the device's performance and protect users from security threats.


The roll-out of Galaxy A13's latest firmware version A135MUBS2BWC4 has begun from Columbia. Neighboring Latino regions will gain access to the update soon enough. As per Samsung's quarterly update schedule, Pakistani users can anticipate the imminent arrival of the March OTA for their Galaxy A13 smartphones in the coming days.

Upon availability, your phone will notify you. In case it doesn't, users can check for the update manually by navigating to the "Software update" section in the device settings. The new patch includes fixes for over 50 privacy and security vulnerabilities, with some bug fixes thrown into the mix. 


Samsung's commitment to timely security updates is commendable, especially given the growing concern around cybersecurity threats. By providing regular security updates, Samsung is protecting its users and setting an example for other smartphone manufacturers to follow. Galaxy A13 defaults to Android 12 out of the box. In December, it received Android 13 x One UI 5.0. It's still to receive another Major Android update pushing the software to One UI 6.0.

The latest March 2023 patch goes well with the phone's entry-segment hardware. Galaxy A13 packs an Exynos 850 SoC, a 6.6-inch infinity-V display, 3-6GB RAM, 50MP AI primary camera, 8MP wide selfie shooter, a type C port, and a 5000mAh cell rechargeable at 25Watts.
