Realme GT 8 series got official in China last month. The lineup has two devices, but it seems the first one to hit the global market will be the Realme GT 8 Pro. The launch event has been announced for November. We don’t have the exact date yet, but Realme GT 8 Pro begins the global rollout in one of the Asian countries.
The GT 8 Pro is already out in the Chinese market, so its specs aren’t exactly a big secret. Now that the phone is headed to the Indian market on its way to the rest of the world, you should, once again, take a look at its features. We hear it may have some changes compared to the Chinese variant.
Realme has pulled out all the stops with the GT 8 Pro, not just for gaming, but also for the camera. This handset is made in collaboration with Ricoh. That’s a known camera company, in case you didn’t know. Not only did they design the swappable camera module for it, but they also did all the software optimization.
This Realme GT new model has the best available Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which can boost the clock speeds to 4.6GHz. This is the fastest silicon out there, arguably even better than Apple’s A19 Pro. 12GB RAM is provided in the basic model, but the phone goes as high as 16GB.
Now, the Chinese GT 8 Pro model scores a pretty impressive 7000mAh battery with this handset, which is a healthy upgrade over the GT 7 Pro’s 6500mAh cell. But just like last time, it’s suspected that the global GT 8 Pro version will bring a smaller cell. They may have the same 120W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds.
The display on this handset is an LTPO AMOLED of 6.79” size and a 144Hz refresh rate. They even advertise a 7000-nit battery with this phone, but it won’t be active full-time. These levels are only activated dynamically to boost the HDR quality. Usually, it will stay below 2000 nits HBM.
Realme GT 8 Pro has one more trick up its sleeve, a 200MP ISOCELL HP5 camera under a periscope telephoto lens. It can do 3X optical zoom with OIS. The Main shooter is 50MP, right beside a 50MP ultrawide lens. The selfie camera on the GT 8 Pro is 32MP. Realme will soon announce the date for its global debut. Keep watching the news.
