It has only been a month since the Realme GT 8 Pro debuted in China. But the global rollout has finally been triggered by the company. They’ve already unveiled this phone outside the home country. Lo and behold, the newcomer seems to bring all the original specs to the global market. That includes the battery as well.

This is the first time Realme shook hands with a camera company to better its mobile photography. The GT 8 Pro is their flagship model, and the first ever phone in the world that can switch its camera appearance. Ricoh’s team is behind that wild concept.

Ricoh not only fine-tuned and optimized the camera software, but they also built that interchangeable camera plate. The rear cameras underneath remain the same, though. Realme GT 8 Pro is their first with a 200MP ISOCELL HP5 camera under a periscope telephoto lens with 3X zoom.

There’s also a 50MP Main shooter on the back, and one of these lenses also includes a 50MP ultrawide sensor. The selfie camera got a small upgrade to 32MP. There’s also a top-tier screen on this Realme's latest GT mobile, especially the brightness is next level.

We have an LTPO 6.79” AMOLED here. It’s 144Hz with 2k resolution — both better than the old Realme GT 7 Pro. A 7000nit brightness has been advertised with the Realme GT 8 Pro, but that’s just the local peak value. It will stay below 2000nits HBM mostly, which is still quite bright for normal usage.

Its chipset has the best upgrade. They’ve brought a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 to the GT 8 Pro, which peaks at a 4.6GHz CPU speed with eight of Qualcomm’s Oryan V3 cores. It has more raw power than you’ll ever need in your daily routine. They packaged NEXT AI into the software. So the phone could bring some use out of the chip’s NPU.

The Chinese GT 8 Pro had a 7000mAh battery. We see the same original 7000mAh capacity on the international GT 8 Pro variant as well. There’s 50W wireless and 120W charging here. The firmware is built around Android 16. Its durability goes up to IP69. Realme GT 8 Pro’s starter 12/256GB trim costs ~$823 (~PKR 232,000). We’ll keep track of this device as it paves the way to more regions. Keep watching the news for updates.
